Record Numbers Visit State Parks
Montana State Parks have seen more visitors than ever this year despite the slowed economy. From May through September this year, state park visits increased 14 percent compared to 2008, or from 1.27 million visits to 1.45 million. Gross revenue for the summer season, mainly from camping fees, also rose about 14 percent this year.
