Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is seeking public comment on a proposal to acquire approximately 12 acres of land along the Clark Fork River eight miles northwest of Missoula. The property consists of two tracts of land.

Floodwaters close Buffalo Mirage fishing access site
BILLINGS The Buffalo Mirage state fishing access site on the Yellowstone River at Sportsman s Park near Park City closed to the public Monday night because of flooding. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks wardens said the Yellowstone River, which is swollen with spring runoff, flooded parts of the park and roads, making any access to the site dangerous.

Butte Mining History Comes Alive at Beavertail Hill State Park
Visit Beavertail Hill State Park Friday, June 27 to get a glimpse into Butte s mining history. The free program is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. at the state park southeast of Missoula. Tom Satterly , a former miner and a descendent of Butte miners, will re-create the day of the worst hard-rock mining disaster in history, the Granite Mountain/Speculator Mine Fire in Butte in June 1917.
