FWP Extends Public Comment Period On Tongue River Railroad Easement


Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced today it will continue to take public comment until Dec. 21 on the environmental assessment associated with granting a right-of-way to the Tongue River Railroad Company over land occupied by FWP’s Miles City Fish Hatchery.

Hunters Urged To Return Elk Brucellosis Blood Samples
This hunting season, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has redoubled its brucellosis surveillance efforts, collecting blood samples from hunter-harvested elk in key areas including the Madison, Paradise, and Shields valleys and other nearby areas.

Mountain Lion Hunting To Close In Districts 413 And 432
The hunting of all mountain lions in north-central Montana hunting districts 413 and 432, which includes portions of Cascade, Meagher and Judith Basin counties, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Friday, November 21, 2008.
